"Isn't this basically just another Oura ring?"
"Can't Apple Watch do this already?"
"You can just make an app for this, surely?!"
We get asked this all the time. And we understand why!
But the short answer is no. Apple, Oura and co aren't doing what we're doing. Let me explain.
To make it work, you have to make life protection the sole mission of the product.
The Architecture of Purpose
End-to-end architecture, infrastructure, every sensor, every ampere consumed, each network packet sent. All of it optimised to serve a singular purpose: help save a life.
Wearables are all about trade-offs because of battery capacity limits, weights and sizes. Every decision you make is critical for the goal you're trying to achieve.
You can't have a beautiful bright display, because it means you'll run the gyroscope for less time. You can't have breathing exercise support, because it means you'll have less time left to stay connected every minute.
Built From First Principles
From the specific antenna positioning and IMUs so sensitive they can capture shaking, to the signet style and millions of vital data points. All built and optimised just to be there when our loved ones need it most.
This isn't a feature we bolted on. It's the foundation everything else is built upon.
The Cost Question
And then there's cost. If you want to protect every family, you have to get the costs down. You have to make it as affordable as possible.
A luxury smartwatch with life protection as an afterthought will never reach the people who need it most.
Could They Do It?
Can Apple and Oura do it all?
Apple could have done it five years ago. The technology was already there, at least available to them. Maybe Alex's father would have had a chance.
But they didn't. Because to build it, you have to build Haelo.
A totally different product, with different hardware, infrastructure and mission. One that shapes not the wearable look, but the company vision.
That's why we're here. Not to build another smartwatch. To build something that actually protects the people we love.
